Zsolt Szijártó
He completed his studies in Pécs, graduating in 1988 from the Janus Pannonius University, Department of Hungarian Literature and Linguistics, majoring in communication. He continued his doctoral studies at the Department of European Ethnology, at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Since 1992, he has been an employee of the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Pécs, and the head of the department for ten years, and from 2016 to 2019 he was the director of the Institute of Social and Media Studies of the university. Since 2019, he has been leading a doctoral program in Language and Communication as a university professor. In 2010 he habilitated at the Faculty of Arts of Eötvös Loránd University.
His main areas of research are cultural and media theory and the anthropological study of everyday life.
At the conference, he is one of the invited speakers on the topic of Aesthetics in the permanent exhibition.
